"Equatorial Rythms" is an exhibition curated by Director Selene Wendt, The Stenersen Museum in Oslo, Norway. The "equatorial" of the title is a metaphor for a global belt of cross-cultural communication rather than a geographical description. The exhibition focuses on connections between visual contemporary art and music and features a wide range of artists from Asia, Africa and Latin-America, as well as Norway. The exhibition is a multidisciplinary show of works from 23 artists, followed by an extensive catalogue with a CD of music included. The exhibition opened with a full night program of performances as well as a concert the following day. The exhibition is open until the 30th of December this year.
